Governor’s press conference today, SATURDAY MAY 23rd, 2020:

🔘 5,775 total cases. Up 163 new cases. 3 were from correctional facilities. 160 were from the community.

🔘 3,195 tests performed in last 24 hrs. 3.5% positivity rate.

🔘 While positive cases are going up in number, what we really need to be watching for is the # of hospitalizations, the positivity rate, and deaths. Continue to be disciplined in your personal health safety habits.

🔘 12,930 unemployment claims for self employed have been paid.

🔘 Announcing the Governor’s Technical Advisory Board, chaired by ADH Dr. Austin Porter III. This board will evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to help our state build infrastructure for the fall and consider technologies like new apps for contact tracing.
